What is your cost of a dozen of sugar cookies?

The starting cost of a dozen sugar cookies at Bake My Day Sweet is $60/dozen. This cost is primarily dependent on design details, number of colors and number of shapes in the requested set. Any increase in the price per set is laregely dependent on these factors.

Why do you have a higher/lower priced cookies than other bakers?

The cost of custom decorated sugar cookies can vary greatly. Sugar cookies take a lot of time, attention to detail and practice and this is often reflected in the price of the cookies. At Bake My Day Sweet we use high quality ingredients, our sugar cookies are thicker than the average sugar cookie at 3/8" and are typically about 3 1/2 inches x 3 1/2 inches dependent on shape. These factors impact how many cookies can be made from one recipie increasing the price.

Why do you need three weeks' notice before an order can be accepted?

Sugar cookies take a lot of time to make the dough, bake, decorate, dry and package the cookies. In addition to this, it can sometimes take some time to order the needed cookie cutters, specific food coloring and any other specifics an order may need. This time is reflected in the lead time needed for an accepted order. While other cookies/treats may not need this much lead time, it's more streamlined to keep the timeframe consistent for all items offered.

Are all the cookies/treats baked fresh?

Yes, all of our baked goods are made to order especially for your special event or occassion.

How are the cookies packaged?

The cookies are all individually packaged in food-safe heat-sealed bags. Sugar cookies can be temperamental with the cookies being easily dried out due to the large amount of dry time needed and the royal icing can be temperamental if exposed to too much moisture. So, the cookies are individually packaged to assist with these issues and ensure freshness and quality. Other types of cookies/treats offered are also individually packaged to maintain freshness and quality.The individually packaged cookies are then placed in a bakery box with paper shred to cushion them in transport. 

Why do you only offer decorated sugar cookies and chocolate chip cookies?

We have a strong desire to offer baked goods that are of the highest quality and have been perfected for a period of time before offering them to customers. Due to this high standard, we only release cookies/treats have met that expectation. Currently, the cookies/treats that have passed this process are offered. New cookie/treat flavors and items are always being dreamed about, so stay tuned for more options in the future.
